Q: How long does it take you to make my web site?

A: It depends on the size and content of your site, whether you need to express unique styles, if you have all the needed materials already, and how quick you respond to my request for materials & choices.  A five page site can take from 1 week to 3 months.  The later, longer times, are mostly due to delays in communications on the client’s part.

Q: What is the fastest way to have a web site made?

A: The fastest way to have a web site made is to start from a model or even from some web sites that you have seen and liked. Take a look at my portfolio and my site models for ideas.

Q: Some web sites advertise that they can make a web site for me “overnight”.  Some even said that I can make a web site using their web based tools overnight.  Is either really possible?

A: I have tried a few such services myself and must answer no to this question. If you do not have much content and already have them written in paragraphs and sentences that fit the spaces allowed by a particular model they provide, and you do not need to change the images on a particular model, may be their experts can fill in the blanks for you and make a simple five page web site in a couple of days. Most likely, you will need a couple of days just to learn how to use their software.  After that, you will find that these tools are too rigid and crippling to work with to create the exact look that you want.  You will also find the need to make changes to

your ideas and contents as you go.  That alone makes the overnight claim highly improbable and more like just a gimmick to get you hooked.  Many business owners either do not have the time and ideas or want to hassle with this process.  That’s when they hired a professional web designer, like me, to do this for them.

Q: What is your normal hourly rate?

A: I do not charge by the hour for web pages.  For any additional work, such as extensive photo editing, retouching, logo design work, and making additional Flash animation or Flash Banner often seen at the top of web pages, I can provide individual by-the-job quotes.  I do charge $50 an hour for maintenance services when done without an annual maintenance agreement.

Q: What kind of support do I get after you have made a web site for me?

A: When explicitly stated, as in most of my offers, I will maintain your web site for one year from the date of posting your web site online.
